This Striated Heron was stalking fish under a line of bush at the mangrove forest in Bangpu Recreation Center. I was interested about it because of its dark colours. It was too difficult for me to get a shot, I had been following it for almost thirty minutes and it was getting dark and plus the vegetation that covered it. I lifted my tripod with the camera mounted on, it was quite chore. I was shooting through leaves and branches and just enough for my lens to capture it, I fired as many shots as I can.

I have never given so much trust to a camera, the Nikon D500, in shooting in a low light conditions, with extra ISO, and with my difficulty of weight and no footing; I managed to take the shots. I have seen this bird with great daylight, but it flies right away as soon as it saw me. The bush that covered me allowed me to capture it.
