The Black-and-yellow Broadbill or Eurylaimus ochromalus is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Its habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The Balck and Yellow Broadbill is threatened because of habitat loss.
This was exciting! The experience is still vivid in my mind. We crossed the second or third stream and then we found other birders with their tripods waiting and calling for the broadbills. We asked them if we could join them, they welcomed us in. We stood in the water in the middle of the stream. This bird came and we just started shooting. The thing is, most of the time, we just froze. The bird is so comical we just stared at the beauty forgetting that we were there to capture it in our view finders.
