The Blue-bearded Bee-eater or Nyctyornis athertoni is a large bee-eater found in much of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. This species is found in forest clearings and especially in montane forest of Thailand.
This Bee-eater is a bird of interest to me and, it is found Khao Yai National Park everywhere and yet in can also be difficult to find, the taking of photographs can be easy when you find. This one was quite far, I was in a hurry and I did not have time to take a photograph since I was with a group of kids in which we were teaching them to make adventure in the national park. I will find this bird again and replace the this photo, but for now, this can stay here. I like this Bee-eater so much because when it flies and glides for its prey, it’s just beautiful.
