long-tailed-shrike

We found this lovely shy beauty today and it really tried to fly away from us, we followed it with our truck and it allowed us for a moment to capture its beauty in our cameras. This bird is one of my favorite birds and I intend to take photographs of all versions of Shrikes as best as I can from one place to another that this bird is available. The feeding habit of this bird is very interesting as it waits from a perch and dives down to capture its prey. Seldom I had the opportunity to take a photograph of this bird because of its shyness. The moment you stop your car, roll the window down, it will find cover right away or else fly away. Nature has its own way in being cordial and this one showed us a great welcome. Though the light was harsh as it was almost noon, we managed to get some descent shots. Another joy added to our collection.
