black-shouldered-kite

It was one fine day last two weekends ago and we were hoping to spot raptors in Petchaburi, a place famous all year round of raptor spying. Indeed we saw several of them but to go through rice fields, dirt roads, communities, and other obstacles was daunting. Well, you see the flying creature way up high and then you follow it. There is no definite road, you just have to make your own way and find them. This kite was an excitement, until it perched on a what…? A rice-field banner? Alright, it is still a raptor, and I could never choose a fantastic perch for it.
