Bangpu is just forty-five minutes from Bangkok but it can take two hours if the traffic is bad. There are different ways to get there to cut the time short but if you choose the regular road it can be bad since construction of new train system and road widening create obstacles that can never be negotiated except taking the motorways.

There are different kinds of birds there and the birding area never disappoints. I found this Little Egret on a stump of a dead tree doing the feast of the President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines, funny; but most off all, it had a Dragonfly in its bill. The Egret stayed there until it devoured the Dragonfly and allowed me to take photographs until it was getting dark.

It may always easy to find Herons and Egrets but once you try to come closer to take that shot, they just take off. At least there is space in between or some sort of cover that allows the bird to be comfortable.
