This Squirrel was quite a surprise for us to be able to see it on treetops and as they go to branches to grab fruits to eat. It was an excitement to know if what animal was causing that big movement on the trees and we thought that it was a Bear at first. Looking through our lenses we discovered this Black Giant Squirrel moving and eat on the branches of a tree. Not only it is massive, it has a long tail as well with fluffy black-brown fur.

Arpha and I are always happy to find something new at Kaengkratchan National Park. We purposely don’t research the kind of animals we will encounter, well we know that there are animals like this; what I mean is, we don’t research so much on some animals to give us an element of surprise. But when it comes to birds, we really have to know everything to be able to find them specifically or else it would be a big problem finding flying creatures in the national park.
