I had been looking for the Grey Heron for a long time, well, I had taken photographs of this bird already; as big as they are, they are shy and they always find a way to take off. A telephoto lens can be helpful and yet the opportunity in finding them near can require hardwork. With its neck tucked into its upper body, I took the shots. This bird was actually twenty meters away, I tried to go around on banks just to come closer, every few meters, I would take photographs, until I got too close for its comfort.
The Grey Heron walked away from me each time i was too close, but I would not allow to miss the chance to get closer this time. i just tried and the big bird tried also its best to go away from me. The sun was blistering hot, I was there for the Spoonbill Sandpipers and this Heron was an extra bonus.
