We have been wanting to have more Lapwings to photograph but we don’t weem to know where to find them. First of all, lapwings are beautiful and awesome birds; but the Red-wattled Lapwing has been a menace to us when we go birding. As long as they are around, the moment we come close for another bird, this Lapwing is ready to fly and would sing the beautiful “we see you” song, tititiew tititiew tititiew. It will not even stop until you go away from the area.
Finding the Grey-headed Lapwing at this birding site is the first time for me and Arpha. We have been coming back for since 2010 and the good four years we used it for serious birding at the area and we have not seen this Lapwing until today. Well, we are happy that we don’t have to go somewhere for this and I hope all the beautiful birds would just come one day and display their beuaties so we could photograph them all. Birding is birding, if they can be easily found then forget it, there is no adventure into that. Another addition to our collection and hoping to focus on lapwings only in the future.
