Also called the Asian Barbet, the Moustached Barbet got its name from the bristles which fringe their bills. It is a resident of Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and of course Thailand. It burrows on a tree at 600-700 meters elevation of evergreen forest.
Arpha and I had different target birds in mind and some other birds appeared so we took advantage of the show. It would have been better if we took the full body of the bird in the camera, but how can I force the bird to come down, they are wild and free. I guess, this is a better shot in which the bird has been photographed in its habitat at that elevation; calling and calling.
