Found in north-eastern India to Vietnam the Black-breasted Thrush is also found in Thailand and it is thriving in such a perfect habitat in Doi Ang kang and the neighboring mountains. The male and the female have the same colour on their lower parts, the upper section of the male is almost black while the female is almost grey-brown.The name of the bird is refereed to the male black breast and this bird is listed as Least Concerned, there are many of them.
My wife and I followed this bird around so we could get the best shots; yes we got them but we wanted the bird to be on a branch or any natural features. The bird chose to be on the pavement, it was shy, but at the same time it didn’t want to fly away in which we were very pleased. Finally it started perching on the branch of a small tree, well, the thing is, it was getting late and then it was very difficult then to take the shot since it was covered by branches and twigs. Anyhow, we were very happy to find it there.
