The Orange-breasted Trogon is found in Cambodia, China, Indonesia, laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam; its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests which is humid, lower to middle elevation of evergreen forests. Especially, it is easy to find them in bamboo forests an on lower trees that may be easy for them to perch.
I found this lovely beauty at Kaeng Krachan National Park, at the second stream premises in which this Trogon hang around. Sometimes in pairs, they frolic around, chasing each other from one tree to another or respond to calls played by birders.
