The Eld’s Deer population in Thailand has declined and that is sad. The decline is caused by people hunting them for food, medicinal purposes; the deforestation also was the main reason of the decline. The good news is, the effort in conservation at Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary is very serious. It has been taken to heart right from the beginning with Seub Nakhasathien, who took his life for the government and people to recognise and commit to the conservation effort.
