The Grey-capped Pygmy Woodpecker (Yungipicus canicapillus) is found Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam,and especially Thailand in which Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary in which it is a tropical moist lowland forest. Its habitat includes subtropical forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
Because of its size and agility, it is difficult to photograph. When you see it you just have to be locked on and keep shooting while it is close to you for it will surely fly to another tree nearby.
We were just lucky that this Woodpecker was feeding near the roadside and we followed it as it went in the forest. The spectacle did not last for so long, but we enjoyed its beauty.
