Bush Crickets or Tettigoniidae are so many, in fact, thousands; it is difficult to really point out a specific name for one insect. As a master of mimicry, it can camouflage like a leaf and one will not see or find it right away.

They can also be great food to other predatory animals and it is also a fantastic leaf eating machine. It can go on and on and on, eating, eating, eating.

It is a nocturnal insect and so it was still when I found it; though if frightened, it can take off right away.
