Grasshopper or Xenocatantops humilis is a voracious leaf eating insect and if they come in swarms, they can finish an entire plantation. It is really difficult to identify specific names for these grasshoppers and and it could be annoying comparing here and there until a proper reference is made with an entomologist.

When I found this is was just sticking on the bark of a tree and it stayed still until I finished taking photographs. One can actually miss this insect as it is completely camouflage.

Some Grasshoppers can be eaten as they are deep fried and served as food. It is impossible to have the Grasshoppers to disappear since they can thrive as long as there are green plants. They can be wiped out by using insecticide but then natural predators like birds can take care of them better and safer to the environment and especially to humans.
