The Coral-billed Ground Cuckoo or Carpococcyx renauldi is also known as Renauld’s Ground Cuckoo is found in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is large and friendly than the other similar size birds in the forest, this tolerates visitors. Having said that, it does not mean that it can also be found easily; it is only once a year that this bird appears and shows off its beautiful display with some of its friends.
I have taken so thousands of shots of this bird and yet this one capture appeals to me in a different way. Hide and Seek is the game we play in the jungle.
This has also been a target bird to me for several years now and I had been wanting to find it on my own, not with anyone with me. This year has been a great birding year to start with and some fantastic friends has been supporting my quest that allowed me to find special goodies on my own. It is just a fantastic feeling to be alone sometimes in the jungle waiting for a bird to appear.
