The Black-winged Cuckooshrike or Coracina melaschistos is also called Lesser Grey Cuckoo-shrike or Dark Grey Cuckooshrike. This drab looking bird is found in South to Southeast Asia and despite of its name, this bird is not related to Cuckoos and Shrikes.

It was a frenzy at Queen Sirikit Park when the Asian Emerald Cuckoo and the Violet Cuckoo showed up, all eyes focused on the two brilliantly coloured bird. The Black-winged Cuckooshrike also showed up and few people tried to take photographs of it as it was also very skittish.
