The Keeled Slug-eating Snake or Rhabdophis chrysargos, is a snake found in Southeast Asia and this one at Khao Laem National Park. I have seen this snake come into my hide while staking out the Blue-banded Kingfisher Kaeng Krachan National Park and it slithered through my legs as I was sitting on the muddy stream bank.

This snake is harmless, nocturnal and arboreal, and food include lizards, small mammals, and birds.

We were taking wildlife photographs at Khao Laem National Park and we were exhausted so we rested at a waterfall and coming out, I spotted this lovely snake. The situation was so hard because we were in the middle of the stream and there were all sorts of debris and the snake just hid there; finally the snake came out and stopped on a log in which there were moss and some other forest plants growing in which it added to its dreamy portrait.
