The Bundok Flycatcher or Ficedula luzoniensis is also called Thicket Flycatcher is Philippine endemic found in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is always exciting to find a nest, curious if what bird maybe nesting, are their broods, feeding activity, and so on.
The local guide working with Konrad Neil found the nest and yet he was not sure if what bird was nesting. We tried to wait and see, it was sketchy and difficult to identify. I decided to wait for the bird to go and then hid myself in between the huge branches of ferns provided. I just waited and waited until this lovely bird came. “Good things happen to those who wait and not for those who wait too late.”
