The Dusky Broadbill or Corydon sumatranus is a bird from the family of Eurylaimidae, the broadbills. A native to Southeast Asia and it can be readily seen during the nesting season but there is a sign of decline due to habitat loss especially from logging.
This not as colourful as the rest of the Broadbills in Thailand and is less popular, but this is my favorite of them all. Yes it is. For some reasons; it’s bill is more broader and looks like a raptor’s bill for ripping off preys, it is less popular, the eyes are sharp, it’s flight from the nest is graceful. Most of the Broadbills are friendly in nature during the nesting season, they like to show off and come closer to humans.
