The Streaked Weaver or Ploceus manyar is a species of weaver bird found in South Asia and South-east Asia especially in the countries of Bangladesh, China, Bhutan, Egypt, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam.
This weaver can be mistaken as the Baya Weaver if one is not paying attention and that’s what happened to us. We thought we had it a long time ago and I also thought that it can only be found in Petchaburi going to the south of Thailand and it makes me lazy to think that I have to drive really far just for this bird until Khun Kin Shing Li, a dear friend of mine, posted his shots from Lat Krabang, an hour away from my house in Suthisan.
