The White-vented Myna is also called the Javan Myna is also a member of the Starling family; it’s conservation status has never been evaluated, never mind, it is one of the most resilient birds in Bali, Java, ¬†introduced to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, the Lesser Sundas, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, and Japan.

Its food can be anything from insects to grains, worms and even animal waste. It can be an invading species if taken to a new location in which the conditions are right. Though it is visible just about anywhere, it is quite a difficult bird to also take good photographs with since it wants to always go away as soon as you think you have taken the position to shoot; they must be busy eating, be in a hide or take the shot from a distance.
