The Oriental Magpie-robin is one of the most common birds in Thailand. it can be seen at the city parks, forest, farms, and and just about anywhere. I personally like this bird because of its simplicity, dominated by black and white, and the beautiful calls.

I am excited that I have a Robin in my collection, but as soon I tried to check its classification, it turned out that it used to belong to the Thrushes and then the Old World Flycatchers. I am not a bird expert, I am learning, and it has been challenging in identifying birds and classifying them. I can see the resemblance why it is classified together with the Flycatchers and I can’t argue about that. For me I just have to enjoy this bird as I see it everyday just outside of our door.
