One of the birds that I really want to have and I would not call it a lifer because it is inevitable that I would find this bird in the jungle of Kaeng Krachan National Park anytime. Well, it is not the colour, it is the long scimitar like bill that is so cool to see. This must be a special tool in pecking or finding and reaching its food from difficult holes and cracks on trunks, ground, and hard surfaces.

Also found in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and finally Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical moist lowland forest and tropical moist montane forest and in Thailand there is so many places perfect for the Large Scimitar Babbler to thrive.
